Three Blackbirds Press promotes independent and self published authors. We accept all types of work, with the primary focus on Fiction, Short Stories, Published Journals, Art Books, Comic Books, Zines, Graphic Novels, Science Fiction, and Poetry. Three Blackbirds press is founded on the idea that everything created will have meaning for at least one person somewhere, even if everyone else sees it as unmarketable, impolite, non-conformist, too conformist, old fashioned, too experimental, etc.

This press was not created in an attempt to prove that all independent, or unknown writers are more "virtuous" or "better writers" for having not "sold out". It simply exists as a way to give presence to people whose works get overlooked. Though our criteria may be a little looser than others, we are selective enough to maintain a distinct standard for interesting, unique, and intelligent books.

Three Blackbirds Press was primarily created as a tool to market my own books. It then evolved into an idea to create a space to promote other people who, either had problems with, or simply had no interest in seeking help from the mainstream publishers. Fortunately, as the years went on, I realised I have absolutely no interest or inclination to sell anything or be a marketer. So, I have currently hijacked part of this website to showcase my own work, including a new gallery with all the paintings, projects, and illustrated books I have been working on, and a small section devoted to some of the website design I do. The press is still very open to submissions from other authors, and though the website has been temporarily hijacked it's goals remain the same and hopefully as interest increases it will grow into it's potential.
