Suddenly the children found themselves in a clearing and had to be careful because not too far from where they stood was the edge of the world. They cautiously walked towards the edge and could not see anything below. After a bit, the boy child squinted hard and thought maybe he could see some land way way way down below, so far down that, he was not positive if it was real or an illusion. The girl child looked to the right and she saw something that resembled a path. The children were curious and decided to follow the path.
They journeyed across the path and it was not too long before the path became clearly defined. Both child would look up randomly and swear that they had seen different brightly colored birds pass by, but the birds always flew away too fast and they could never tell what type of birds they had seen. The path began to head down the cliff and led to the land that the boy had seen so far away
